The Saint Trinity Skanov Monastery was founded in XVIIth century. The architectural complex of monastery consists of the Saint Trinity Cathedral (XVIIIth-XIXth cc.), the Bell-Tower with the Saint Nikolas Gate Church (late XVIIIth c.), the Church of John's the Prophet, Precursor and the Baptist of Our Lord Head Truncation (1809) and the Church Our Lady's Icon of Trubchevsk (1853).
