Andrew Nikiforovich Voronikhin (1759-1814) - architect, representative of high classicism. Erected in 1801-1811. on its projects in St. Petersburg Kazan Cathedral on Nevsky Prospect and the building of the Mountain Cadet Corps (since 1866 - the Mining Institute) marked a monumental and strict solemnity. Participated in the creation of architectural ensembles and Peterhof, Pavlovsk, Gatchina and Strelna. His designs were created in the organic combination of interior architecture.
