Universal Sports Hall Druzhba ("Friendship") was built for competitions XXII Olympiad in 1980. The authors of the project were the architects IA Rozhin (under construction "Luzhniki" in 1956), Y. Bolshakov and V. Tarasevich. USZ "Druzhba" is located on the embankment of the Moscow River, not far from the metro station "Sparrow Hills" and to the form of a starfish. Central game room (40 x 40 m, height 20 m) is surrounded on all four sides of seats, the upper of which are stationary, while the lower ones are easily removed, shifting "accordion". Thus, creating different types of sites, and the capacity of rooms varies from 1700 to 3500 people.
